About the artist

Born in the West Country in 1975, Rebecca Veasey now lives and works from her
studio home in the Exmoor village of Porlock. She paints in both oil and watercolour,
combining her career as an artist with motherhood and pursuing her interests in
hill walking, music, reading and photography.

Whilst Rebecca is perhaps best known for her detailed representation of West Country
landscapes with rich variation in terrain and mood, she has a remarkable capacity to
capture all aspects of the natural vista. Her finished work is not merely a
delight to the eye but succeeds in conveying the unique sounds, smells and
tastes of the subject matter before her.

You can see some
examples of her work to be featured in her forthcoming exhibition.

Rebecca has exhibited paintings throughout the West Country, showing work in
galleries both locally and further afield. A selective list can be found
here.
